Our specialist chiropractor, Jonathan Cairns, focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly focused on the spine and shoulder conditions.

Jonathan has a wealth of clinical and sport experience, as well as additional post-graduate training, so his approach goes far beyond the traditional chiropractic approach.  He is in considerable demand as a lecturer and speaker at international conferences on chiropractic services.

Although he will still employ some the traditional manual therapy techniques such as spinal manipulation (sometimes termed ‘adjustments’), Jonathan also utilises soft tissue therapy exercise prescription to aid recovery.

Your First Visit to our Chiropractor

All of our team want to make you feel entirely comfortable, while they assess and treat your pain or injury.

We begin each new patient consultation by taking a comprehensive case history in the privacy of one of our welcoming treatment rooms. This initial discussion allows your chiropractor to gain a thorough understanding of your condition, its impact on your life, and your end goals. It also serves as a crucial step in diagnosing the root cause of your pain or discomfort, which will guide the subsequent clinical examination.

They will then examine you, during which time, they may ask you to perform various orthopaedic tests and observe movements or activities that you find challenging or restricted.

To ensure they can conduct a thorough assessment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing such as shorts, a T-shirt, or gym attire. However, your chiropractor may request that you remove certain items of clothing to better evaluate the areas of concern. Please don’t hesitate to discuss any concerns you may have regarding this.
